ACADEMIC LEADER

  • Directed the UW-Madison Cancer Biology Training Program (PhD and Post-doctoral).
    • Oversaw all recruiting, program management, budgeting and personnel issues.
    • Led the transition of the program from being housed in a single department to being a multi-department graduate program housed in the UWCCC.
    • Recognized for revamping the recruiting and admissions reforms that significantly increased admissions of qualified students.
  • Developed and taught several undergraduate and graduate courses and seminars in developmental immunology, cancer immunology, cancer genetics and biology, and in research ethics and bioethics.
